Enterprise Search is search engine software that adds search functionality wherever search is needed. Enterprise Search crawls through areas you want indexed (ie., Intranet, Public Web Site, the Web, etc.) collecting documents (including DOC & PDF) matching your specifications. Those documents are then immediately full-text searchable through your Web browser. Enterprise Search is commonly used for creating: an Intranet search engine, a public site search engine, a topic specific search engine, and a local file system search engine.
