WebGrid client provides such features as hierarchical headers, column reordering, column and row resizing, client-side sorting and filtering and much more. Programming interface includes enough methods and events to allow for full programmatic control over the grid during run-time. A variety of styles control look and feel of every part of the grid. Even without WebGrid server, client can easily handle hundreds of records. A easy-to-use XML layout file controls grid definition. WebGrid server is used to control the database access. WebGrid server automatically handles server-side paging, sorting and filtering as well as updates, deletes and inserts for very large, virtually unlimited data sets.
