ActiveX OCX to play MP3 files , this control is using a high-quality MPEG audio decoder , and it is capable of playing layer I , II and III , has support also to MPEG 2.0 and MPEG 2.5 , it has a spectrum analyzer , equalizer and the decoder engine is optimized for speed when running on new processors What is new in the version 2.7.3 (Wed Aug 10 17:20:51 2005):Added two surround like effects , fixed some minor bugsWhat is new in the version 2.7.1 (25/Mar/2005 17:22):Fixed a minor problem in the smartbuffer methodWhat is new in the version 2.7.0 (18/Mar/2005 18:20):Modified the report of the playback position , now itis as accurate as 100 milliseconds , it was modifiedby user request , modified the smart buffer method ,indeed most portions was completely redesigned , addedalso support to enlarging and shrinking files (thismeans files that have their size modified duringplayback ,like adding or removing id3 tags ordownloading a file from internet while playing ) ,notice that it is supported in both smart buffer modeand old buffer mode , there is no way to make thememory playback mode to support it beause after a fileis loaded to the memory it don''t have any other accessto the file unless you play it again , , fixed a bugin the ID3 v2 tag support , if the mp3 file has invalid ID3 v2 tag information the control may justcrash , now the control will first validate theinformation and if it is inside some predefined limitsit will work if not then it will just consider the ID3v2 information invalid , notice that this problemaffect also Winamp , the homepage has a damaged mp3file that trigger the problem in the mp3 ocx 2.6.2 andWinamp , and you need to be aware that when the newwave effects change the number of samples then thetime reported will not be the correct playbackposition
