IMArchive is a great tool that allows you to automatically log, view, and manage all your instant messages and chat conversations from the major three public Instant Messaging (IM) applications - AIM (tm), Yahoo(tm) and MSN(tm). The user interface is a familiar web interface. The software is distributed with a message collector and a viewer. The collector transparently records all your IMs and chat conversations. It avoids recording all spam and unwanted chat invitations during a conversation. You can start and stop the collector at any time or allow it to just run in the background. The viewer allows you to filter, search, retrieve, display and delete messages. The viewer is divided up into a Master panel at the top and details panel below. The top panel displays messages by date/time, program and topic. You basically select the messages you want to read here and display them on the details panel below. The details panel offers enhanced text-reading capabilities like keyword search and highlight and a sub-conversation feature where you can choose to sort and display messages between selected buddies. IMArchive also includes colored keyword search and highlight, HTML and Text export, collector database tune-up and repair for performance, configurable Auto-Start at boot time, printing and password protection with encryption support.
