Super Chompers is an arcade game with a hint of strategy. The basic idea is a wholesome one: grow lots of healthy foods while eliminating those which lead to tooth decay, such as hard candy, chocolate, donuts, and ice cream cones. If accomplished, our player should have a sparkling smile, which explains the name Super Chompers. The game opens at the Main Menu, where number of players, skill level, speed, and music/sound effects volume can be set. There is also a persistent high score list that can be cleared and list of credits available. Different settings will be described below. Clicking the “Play!” chocolate chip starts the fun.Level One eases us into the action by presenting two healthy foods, apples and oranges. When an orange eats an apple, several new oranges are generated. This leads to more points, since once per second the total number of healthy foods is counted and added to the score. Each level requires a certain number of points to win, but instead of a numerical display, stars are displayed across the top of the screen to indicate progress. If the player feeds enough apples to enough oranges, nearly the entire screen will be filled with oranges and the required points will soon be accumulated and we will proceed to Level Two.In Level Two, lemons are added in addition to the apples and oranges. A circular food chain is created since oranges eat apples, apples eat lemons, and lemons eat oranges. The more that are eaten, however, the more that flourish, since for each of one kind eaten several of its consumers is created. In this way, starting from just a few apples, oranges, and lemons, one can soon convert a nearly empty grid into a jam-packed feeding frenzy.Higher levels introduce undesirables, the first of which is red hard candy. Red hard candy eats apples and is not worth points itself. If left unchecked, this fiend will make our friendly little apples extinct, and the food chain will break. Later, orange and yellow
